Karen’s Journey to Motherhood
Karen Tatiana’s fertility journey began in 2014 at the Reproductive Medicine Group with Dr. Tarantino. With a hopeful heart, Karen completed all her preliminary testing and ultrasounds in preparation for her first fertility protocol. However, like many couples, her journey would not be a straight line.
Karen’s treatment started with intrauterine insemination (IUI). She went through multiple IUIs but unfortunately, none resulted in success. Faced with these challenges, Karen and her husband decided to take a break from fertility treatment but their dedication to building their family remained unwavering.
“One of my biggest challenges was the waiting time (waiting for a baby bird) but I believe God has a purpose for everything. This helped me through these hard times.”
In 2021, Karen’s doctor, Dr. Tarantino, suggested she consider in vitro fertilization (IVF). Eager to grow their family, Karen agreed, and they began treatment. After years of hoping and trying, their first IVF cycle was a success!
Their daughter was born later that year on 12/14/2021.
“The greatest reward was the birth of my daughter. She is EVERYTHING we prayed for.”
Karen’s story does not end there. She has returned to the Reproductive Medicine Group and is currently doing another round of IVF in hopes of giving her daughter a sibling.
Her best advice to someone starting their fertility journey is to educate yourself more about fertility treatment and options and “be patient. The best things in life take time to blossom.”
“I will be forever thankful for the entire RMG team.”
