Tubal Reversal

Tubal Reversal

Tubal Reversal (Reanastomosis) involves surgically reversing “tied tubes” in women. This is offered as an outpatient procedure by our fertility doctors who are surgeons specializing in infertility procedures at The Reproductive Medicine Group’s IVF/Surgery Center.

We are able to streamline many of the steps involved in treating fertility issues within our center. Our goal is to reduce costs to our patients while providing services in a warm and nurturing environment.

Why RMG for Tubal Reversal?

RMG is well known for providing top-of-the-line fertility care in the Tampa, Florida, area. Patients choose us for tubal reversal for just some of the following reasons:

  • Patients are usually able to return home the day of surgery.
  • Tubal ligation reversal, or tubal reversal, is a procedure that requires highly specialized microsurgical instruments. These tools are not available at most hospitals.
  • The physicians of The Reproductive Medicine Group (RMG) utilize high-tech, state-of-the-art equipment at their facility.
  • An Initial Consult & Testing is required (fees vary per patient). Once approved for surgery, The Reproductive Medicine Group is able to offer the tubal reanastomosis procedure performed in their Surgery Center for the all-inclusive fee of $6,358.

Tubal Reversal is less expensive than IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) but if a patient is not a good candidate for the procedure, our fertility experts can advise on either procedure. This saves a patient both time and money. Most insurance providers do not cover this surgery, but The Reproductive Medicine Group partners with several financing companies.

The $6,358 fee includes:

  • Facility fee
  • Anesthesia fee
  • Physician fee

Due to the cost-effective prices of tubal reversal, and the REI(Reproductive Endorcrinology and Infertility) training and board certification of the physicians, patients travel from across the U.S. to have the procedure at our RMG Surgery Center. If you are an out of town patient seeking destination tubal reversal we have information available for lodging and the local area.

An initial consultation fee to meet with a physician and discuss your history, as well as options and preliminary tests to assess ovarian/egg health and semen parameters, may be recommended by the physician. Fees for the initial consultation and possible preliminary tests are listed here or you may learn more on our complete tubal reversal website, www.floridatubalreversal.com.

Some patients will not be able to have their tubal reversal performed on an outpatient basis due to health problems, age, or prior medical history. If the tubal reversal procedure cannot be performed at the time of surgery on at least one tube (due to inadequate tubal length or other technical problems) patients will receive a refund for the portion of the services which were not provided.

The physicians of The Reproductive Medicine Group will be happy to meet with you to discuss your options for tubal reversal, procedure success rates, pregnancy rates, and required preliminary testing. You can schedule an appointment by contacting any of our four convenient office locations, Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. – 5:00p.m. Our staff will be happy to assist you in selecting the most convenient day and time for your appointment.
